*ADDITIVE FREE : Emma Basic Perilla Furikake is the first perilla seasoning on the market made with absolutely no E – numbers. E621, E635, E296, Dextrine and Genetic modified ingredients- have all been removed by the Emma Basic team. What’s left is clean, honest seasoning.

*SHAKE, SPRINKLE, DONE: The word “furikake” is a fun mix of two Japanese verbs: “furi,” which means “shake,” and “kake,” meaning “sprinkle.” It’s all about shaking and sprinkling, super easy, straight from pantry to plate.

*A HERB LOVED ACROSS ASIA: Perilla (Perilla frutescens) is a fragrant leafy herb from the mint family, prized for centuries in Asian cuisine and wellness traditions. Called Shiso in Japan, Zi Su in China, Kkaennip in Korea – served with sashimi and tempura in Japan, wrapped around grilled meat in Korea, and widely used in seafood and meat dishes to neutralize strong odors or brewed as a warming tea in China.
